Gingerbread House from a Playhouse

Have your kids grown out of their old Playhouse or maybe they don’t use it anymore? Make use of it this holiday season by turning it into an adorable Gingerbread House! You could even do this project without permanently altering your playhouse if you just want to decorate it for the kids to enjoy! 

 

If you are done with using your playhouse year-round you can grab outdoor spray paint and start by painting the exterior brown! You can then use paper, more paint, and other materials to add in details to your gingerbread house! I love the idea of adding outdoor string lights to the roof and a wreath to the door! There are so many different ways you can decorate your playhouse to make an adorable gingerbread house to use every Christmas!

 

If you want to keep your playhouse the original color for future use you can just add decorations that can easily be removed! There are so many different outdoor-safe decorations like fake candy, lights, figurines, and more that could be added to the playhouse!

I think this is such a fun idea to give a second life to an old toy! It adds so much holiday cheer and makes an adorable yard decoration!
