Have you ever seen a pair of kids' shoes and thought wow, I would really love those in my size? Or maybe you're like me and would prefer to pay the price of kids' shoes since they tend to be cheaper! Did you know that you can have those kids' shoes? Big kid's sizes can easily be converted to women's sizes!
All you need to do is look at the size chart for the brand of shoe and find the size that matches your size in the kids section! This trick works in most brands for women's sizes up to a women's size 8.5 or 9 depending on the conversion! Learning about this trick was such a game-changer for me, I have been shopping for my shoes in the kid's section!
Nike is one of my favorite brands to purchase from because of the quality and comfort of their shoes! Nike actually helps us out by having the women’s conversion size listed on a ton of their kid's products! If it is not listed no need to worry, all you need to do to find your kid's size in Nike is take your women’s size and subtract 1.5 sizes! If you wear a size 7 in women’s shoes you would grab a size 5.5 in big kids shoes!
Adidas is another brand that we all know and love! If there a pair of kids shoes you love at Adidas just size down 1.5 sizes and that should be the perfect fit!
Everyone knows and loves UGG boots and slippers! They are such great shoes for fall and winter! Size down a size and a half in these! If you are in between sizes I would recommend going with the larger size! If you wear a size 6.5 women’s go for the size 5 big kids!
For Converse, you will want to size down two whole sizes to get your kid's size! If you are a women’s size 8 you will want to go for the big kids size 6! Converse kids sizes do stop at a size 6 so if you wear above a size 8 you will have to shop the women's section to find your perfect pair of Converse shoes!
Who doesn’t love a good pair of Crocs? I am constantly stealing my sons at the house to grab the mail, run outside, and let the dog out! Crocs sizes J3-J6 can be converted over to women’s sizes! For Crocs you will want to size down two sizes, unless you are in between sizes then I recommend only sizing down one since there are no half sizes offered in Crocs!
New Balance offers an article about converting their kids-size shoes to adult shoes on their website! For New Balance, they recommend you size down 1.5 sizes to find your perfect kids size! If you wear a size 6 women’s go ahead and grab the size 4.5 big kids! They actually show the size conversions on their size chart as well so this one is easy to find!
