Target Return Policies

If you have ever shopped at Target then I am sure at some point you have been curious about their return policies! Most people are familiar with the Cat & Jack return policy, but what about all the other items in the store? Here is everything you need to know about returning products at Target!

General Products-

For most products sold by Target, they can be returned or exchanged in new condition within 90 days for a full return or exchange! Items that are opened or damaged, or items missing their receipt may be denied a return or exchange! This policy also applies for most items sold by a Target Plus Partner, but some do have a modified policy!

Any item that is a Target Owned brand item may be returned within one year, with a receipt, for a full refund or exchange! Learn more about Target-owned brands here.

Target Circle card debit and credit card holders will receive an extra 30 days to return products that were purchased with their Target Circle card online and in-store!

All products that you are trying to return must be accompanied by a receipt or other proof of purchase!

Electronics-

Electronics and entertainment items must be returned or exchanged within 30 days. Apple products (excluding phones) only have 15 days to be returned or exchanged! Mobile phones have 14 days from the time of purchase to be returned or exchanged!

Makeup-

Most beauty products are eligible for returns even if they have been opened! The same 90-day return window applies unless you use your Target Circle Card, then you have 120 days to return or exchange!

Exceptions-

Trading cards, trading card accessories, personalized items, digital downloads, gift cards, opened/unsealed breast pumps, and open or defective collectibles are not currently eligible to be returned!

Diapers-

If you are a mom I am sure you have had diapers that were unused, or the wrong size! Target will let you return or exchange diapers in-store! You can exchange up to $100 worth of diapers with no receipt per year, this is great if they were purchased as a gift! If you put the diapers on your registry, they should have no issue returning them without a receipt!
